BRADENTON, Fla. - NCF Baseball (19-18, 5-11) will play a two-location home series over the weekend when it hosts Sun Conference foe Florida Memorial (16-20, 3-13) for a pair of doubleheaders.
Friday's games starting at 10 a.m. EST will take place at Braden River Little League, and Saturday's contests will take place at IMG Academy starting at Noon.

OF NOTE
- NCF split a weekend series with No. 13 St. Thomas in Miami Gardens last weekend, taking Game 1 9-4 and Game 4 2-1. The Mighty Banyans have now split a series with two ranked foes this season, as two weeks ago, it split a four-game set with No 22 Keiser.
- New College of Florida opened its series at St. Thomas with a 9-4 win in 10 innings on Thursday night. The Mighty Banyans struck first in the second inning when Domenic Fernandez doubled down the left-field line to score Wil Gregory. Fernando Espinal added to the lead in the third with a solo home run to make it 2-0. New College extended the advantage in the sixth. Fernandez delivered another RBI double, and Brian Garcia followed with a run-scoring double to push the lead to 4-0. St. Thomas got on the board in the eighth and then rallied in the bottom of the ninth with three runs to tie the game at 4-4. New College answered in the 10th. Gregory scored on a wild pitch to put the Banyans back in front, and Fernandez followed with an RBI single. Brecken Fair then doubled in two more runs before Patrick Fink added an RBI double to cap the five-run inning. Ryan Swartz turned in a strong start, allowing one run over 7.1 innings while striking out six. Corbin Gilmore earned the win in relief, and Cyrus Kornegay closed out the victory with a scoreless bottom of the 10th.
- New College of Florida closed out the series with a 2-1 win over St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon. St. Thomas opened the scoring in the top of the second, pulling ahead 1-0, but would be shut down the rest of the afternoon. New College answered in the sixth when Fink came around to score on a wild pitch to even the game at 1-1. The Banyans took the lead in the top of the ninth as Fernando Espinal scored on a wild pitch to give New College a 2-1 advantage. Fink led the offense with two hits, while Espinal, Matthew Merk, and Wil Gregory each added a hit. Gilmore was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete game and allowing just one run on eight hits while earning the win.
- At 5-11 in Sun Conference play, NCF sits in seventh place in the standings, one game behind Ave Maria (6-10) for sixth and the final spot in the conference tournament.
