The 2026 New College of Florida men's soccer season officially gets underway on Saturday, as the Mighty Banyans will travel to Montgomery, Alabama, to take on RV Faulkner
Kickoff is scheduled for Noon EST.
New College enters its fourth season of competition and second under head coach Cesar Markovic. The Mighty Banyans enter the new campaign looking to build off a historic 2025 season that saw NCF finish 13-4-1 and earn the program's first postseason victory.

OPENING-DAY NOTES
THE BOYS ARE BACK:Â NCF returns plenty of offensive production from a 2025 squad that led The Sun Conference in goals scored. First-Team All-Sun Conference selection and Sun Conference Freshman of the Year Cameron Johnson returns alongside Second-Team All-Sun Conference selection Ducamel Jeannestin, who scored 13 goals last season. In total, players responsible for 38 of the Mighty Banyans' 63 goals in 2025 return for the 2026 campaign.
CAM THE MAN:Â Johnson's award-winning freshman campaign saw him lead the Mighty Banyans with 14 goals while tying for the team lead with five assists. He found the back of the net in 13 of 18 matches, highlighted by a hat trick against Webber and a two-goal performance at Warner.
CREATING CHANCES:Â Johnson and Matthew Dynarski, who shared the team lead with five assists apiece last season, both return to Sarasota in 2026. In total, players responsible for 23 of NCF's 35 assists from a season ago return to the Mighty Banyans.
RAISING THE BAR:Â NCF's 13-4-1 campaign in 2025 marked the best season in program history, as the Mighty Banyans finished fourth in The Sun Conference standings and earned their first postseason victory with a win over Florida Memorial in the conference tournament quarterfinals. NCF then pushed top-seeded and eventual conference champion Keiser to the brink in the semifinals before falling 3-2. Now, the Mighty Banyans enter 2026 looking to take the next step and earn the program's first NAIA Tournament appearance.
FRESH FACES:Â NCF welcomes 12 newcomers to its 2026 roster, including junior Cuba Soerensen, who helped Grand View (Iowa) capture last season's NAIA National Championship. The newcomer class also features junior Micah Nelson, who arrives in Sarasota from NCAA Division I University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and junior Zachariah Abraham, a transfer from Thomas University.
TESTED FROM THE START:Â Faulkner enters the 2026 season receiving votes in the preseason NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll after an 11-5-3 campaign in 2025. The Eagles earned a berth in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, where their season came to an end with an overtime loss to LSU Shreveport.
