Cameron Johnson added a second major award Tuesday afternoon as he was named Sun Conference Freshman of the Year.
Earlier Tuesday, Johnson was named first-team All-Sun Conference.
The Miami native  enters postseason play as the Mighty Banyans' goal leader with 14, which ranks tied for 19th in the NAIA . He also shares the team lead in assists with five. He was twice named Sun Conference Offensive Player of The Week during the campaign.
Johnson, who helped lead NCF to a 13-3-1 regular season and fourth-place finish in the Sun Conference, recorded one hat-trick (vs. Webber) and had a two-goal game at Warner. He scored at least one goal in 13 of 16 matches. Â
His 14 goals are a single-season program record.
NCF will play its first-ever Sun Conference Tournament game Wednesday at 3 p.m. EST at the NCF Bayfront against Florida Memorial.
