NCF Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

SARASOTA, Fla. – The New College of Florida softball program announced its 2026 schedule on Tuesday as the Mighty Banyans prepare for its first season under new head coach Corbin Weeks. The slate features a strong non-conference schedule and a competitive Sun Conference docket, with two preseason NAIA Top 25 teams and two others receiving preseason poll votes.

"Our program has been working incredibly hard to prepare for the spring season," Weeks said. "We have a good mix of returning players and newcomers that we feel will allow us to be competitive in the Sun Conference."

Weeks joins the Mighty Banyans after a highly successful two-year tenure at Montreat College, where he compiled a 64-35 overall record. In his debut season in 2024, Weeks orchestrated the largest single-season turnaround in NAIA Softball history in the DakStats era, leading Montreat to a 31-19 record, a program-best 21-game improvement from the previous season

NCF will open the Weeks era  at home on Feb. 6, hosting Baptist University of Florida in a doubleheader to begin the year. All home games will be played at the NCF Softball Field, located on campus off General Twinning Drive.

The non-conference schedule is highlighted by a home doubleheader against Montreat College on March 11, giving Weeks the opportunity to face his former program.

NCF's non-conference slate also features a trip to the Space Coast Tournament in Melbourne, Florida, on March 16 and 17, where the Mighty Banyans will face IU South Bend, Johnson, Cottey, and Northwest Ohio.

The Mighty Banyans' Sun Conference schedule presents several high-profile matchups, including home doubleheaders against No. 19 Southeastern on March 13 and 14 and NAIA Preseason and defending Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament champion No. 18 St. Thomas on April 24 and 25

NCF will also face two additional Sun Conference programs receiving preseason votes, on the road as it will visit Coastal Georgia on March 24 and 25 and Keiser on April 3 and 4.
