SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Women's Lacrosse will kickoff its second season in program history and first under head coach Heather Ballew, Saturday when the Mighty Banyans play host to Columbia College at the NCF Bayfront Field at 1 p.m. EST.
The game will be the first Lacrosse game played at the new NCF Bayfront Field, which will serve as the home to the Women's Lacrosse program for the entire season.

- NCF is entering its first season under  Ballew, a former standout at Clemson University and head coach of Sarasota High School. She joined New College as an assistant coach in October and now assumes leadership of the program from current head coach Tom Flynn. Flynn, the architect of the Mighty Banyans' launch, is stepping down to attend to family matters and will conclude his tenure at New College on Friday, November 28, before relocating to New Jersey to be closer to his family.
- The Mighty Banyans bring back several key contribuiters from its debut 2025 roster including sophomore Ashley Palmer who finished tied for team lead in goals scored with 11 while converting on 93.8% of her shots on goal last season, sophomore Makayla Hardware who finished tied with Palmer scoring 11 goals while ranking tied for second on the team in ground balls (9) and caused turnovers (7) and junior Taylor Ware who led  NCF in caused turnovers (13) and ground balls (12).
- Senior goaltender/defender Amanda Pickens, NCF's Sun Conference Player to Watch, returns after last season, recording three ground balls and four caused turnovers in the field while making 71 saves on 175 shots faced in net, highlighted by an eight-save performance to earn the win in NCF's first victory in program history at Truett McConnell. She will serve alongside fellow senior Hannah Picott as a team captain.
- Columbia College, members of the NAIA's Appalachian Athletic Conference, are coached by Mallory Bahr.
