SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Softball (30-13, 13-8) will play host to No. 22 St. Thomas (29-16, 11-10) Friday and Saturday in its final regular season series of the 2026 season.
Saturday, the Mighty Banyans will honor coach Aly Bermudez with a tribute day that will include a pregame ceremony, food trucks and more.
Coach Aly Bermudez was the inaugural head coach of New College Softball. She was passionate, courageous, full of energy, and cared deeply for her family, friends, coaches, and athletes. She loved the game of softball and used it as a powerful tool to positively impact everyone around her. She passed away on April 27, 2025.

- The Mighty Banyans took two out of three from Ave Maria last weekend to hit the 30-win threshold for the first time in program history and improve to 13-8 in Sun Conference play.
- As long as NCF wins one game in the weekend series with St. Thomas, it will be the No. 4 seed in next week's Sun Conference Tournament in Clearwater. If the Bobcats sweep, STU will be the No. 4 seed and NCF will be the No. 5 seed. The two will face off regardless in the tournament opener next Thursday.
- The Mighty Banyans rank ninth nationally in stolen bases as a team with 131.
- NCF third basemen Samantha Suarez will take on her former team over the weekend. Suarez is hitting .366 this season with two home runs and 29 RBI's.
