SARASOTA, Fla. - The 2026 New College of Florida women's soccer season officially gets underway Thursday, Aug. 20, as the Mighty Banyans welcome Florida Polytechnic University to Bayfront for their season opener.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST.

New College enters its fourth season of competition and second under head coach Serge Lipovetsky. Thursday will also mark a historic night for the visitors, as Florida Poly takes the field for the first match in program history.

BETWEEN THE POSTS: Sophomore goalkeeper Avaya Wright returns after recording 90 saves last season, earning Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors twice and setting a program single-match record with 19 saves against eventual NAIA National Champion Keiser.

NEW-LOOK BANYANS: : Several new faces could make their NCF debuts Thursday as the Mighty Banyans welcome more than a dozen newcomers ahead of the 2026 campaign. Among the newcomers to watch are forward Faith Hardy, who logged 792 minutes at NCAA Division II Palm Beach Atlantic University last season, and freshman forward Aubrey Mau, a Bradenton native and Lakewood Ranch High School alum who helped lead the Mustangs to back-to-back regional championships.

HISTORY ON THE OTHER SIDE: Thursday marks the first match in Florida Poly women's soccer history.
