Box Score TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Mighty Banyans lost to No. 18 Florida College 82-75 in the teams final road game of the 2023 season.
The Banyan offense struggled to get anything going in the opening five minutes of action. A Falcon three and two transition buckets helped them jump out to an early 7-0 lead.
Adonis Caneris scored the opening bucket of the evening for New College, knocking down a deep right-corner three of a
Jordan Clark assist. The Banyans struggles continued through most of the half, as Florida College drained two free throws to extend their lead to 11 with under five minutes remaining.

Schuyler Pimentel and
Giovanni Toscanini knocked down jumpers on back-to-back possessions, bringing New College within 4 with three minutes on the clock.
Jordan Clark went on another solo run, scoring 5 straight points to give New College their first lead. New College continued to play well through the final minute, keeping the Falcons at bay and entering the half tied 41-41.
The second half of play was a back and forth battle. Florida College went on a big run out the gates, going on a 19-6 to regain a double-digit lead. The Falcons continued to capitalize, going up by as many as 15 points in the second half.
The Banyans continued to fight. New College went on another big run, eliminating the Falcon lead and trailing by three with three minutes remaining.
Jordan Clark knocked down 2 free throws, keeping New College in the game with one minute on the clock.
Ultimately, the Banyan offense wasn't enough in the final minutes, with New College suffering a 82-75 loss in their final road contest of the year.
Jordan Clark led all scorers on the evening with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Giovanni Toscanini poured in 17 points and 4 rebounds off of the bench.

The Mighty Banyans are back in action for their final game of the season on Monday, Feb 26 when they host the University of Fort Lauderdale at Hal Chasey Gymnasium.
