SARASOTA, Fla. – Redshirt freshman
Jonathan Olodude of New College of Florida has been named the Sun Conference Champions of Character Award recipient, an honor that recognizes student athletes who exemplify integrity, service, leadership, and respect in all aspects of their collegiate experience.
The Sun Conference Champions of Character Award highlights individuals who demonstrate the NAIA core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
"I am so grateful to have Jonathan in our program! He is a shining light and brings joy to everyone around him. He is a coaches dream and is a true servant-leader both on and off the court," head coach
Andrew Wingreen said.

Olodude approaches each day with a positive attitude and energy that elevates those around him. He embodies New College of Florida Men's Basketball's core values of Love, Serve, and Compete through his selfless mindset and willingness to put others' needs before his own.
In the community, Olodude volunteers at his local church, providing photography support and investing time in the youth group. His heart for service and commitment to helping others are evident in his actions.
Within the New College athletic department, Olodude serves as an intern capturing photos, setting up and tearing down events, or creating content for teams across campus. He demonstrates professionalism and enthusiasm. His work supports multiple programs and contributes to the continued growth of the Mighty Banyans brand.
Olodude also contributes across campus by supporting the New College Foundation through donor engagement efforts and working with the Career Engagement Opportunity office. In every role, he represents New College with integrity and pride.
On the court, Olodude is a hard-nosed defender and strong rebounder. He averaged 4.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in 23 games played and six starts.
