"Talent gets attention, but character sustains success," Wingreen said. "Each of these young men brings a unique skill set that will help us on the court, but what excites me most is who they are as people. They are competitors, leaders and students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence both academically and athletically. We were able to address important needs throughout our roster while adding individuals who fit our culture and vision.
"I believe this class has the talent to help us compete at a high level and the character to positively impact our campus and community. This group reflects New College's commitment to recruiting student-athletes who excel both on and off the court. Their leadership, academic achievement, competitive toughness and winning experience will strengthen our program as we continue building toward sustained success in Sarasota."
