NCF Men's Basketball To Visit Florida College Saturday

NCF Men's Basketball (1-0) will resume regular season action Saturday when it visits non-conference foe Florida College in Temple Terrace.

The meeting will be the first of two between the Mighty Banyans and Falcons this season as Florida College will visit NCF at SCF-Bradenton Jan. 24.

  • After defeating 105-79 Trinity College in its season opener last Saturday, NCF fell to NCAA DI Floirda Gulf Coast in an exibition Monday by a final score of 96-60.
  • 2025 Sun Conference Freshman of The Year Diego Eslava led NCF with 14 points at FGCU.
  • The Mighty Banyans led for all but 16 seconds in its season-opening win over Trinity as NCF shot an impressive 39-79 (49.3%) from the field and shot 10-for-29 (34.4%) from three while also dominating on the boards, out-rebounding the Tigers 58-28.
  • Point guard Shawn Lefresne picked up a double-double in the win over Trinity, scoring 10 points and collecting 15 rebounds, 12 of which came on the defensive end. He added five assists in the win. Sophomore guard Adrian Moore scored a team-leading 19 points in the win over Trinity, shooting 9-for-14 from the field and 1-for-3 from three. He also dished out three assists.
  • In total, 14 Mighty Banyans found the scoreboard in the season opener with Giovanni Toscanini (14), Mojo Chisler (14) and Alex Excellent (11) joining Moore and Lefresne in double figures.
  • Florida College enters play 1-2 on the season with losses to Langston and Mid-America Christian and a win over Webber.
  • Senior guard Malik Beauford is averaging a team-high 18.0 points per game so far for the Falcons, while junior Gordon Magok is leading the team, averaging 7.0 rebounds per game.
