SARASOTA, Fla. - The New College of Florida men's basketball program announced its 2026-27 schedule as the Mighty Banyans prepare for their fourth season in program history, all under head coach Andrew Wingreen. The 30-game slate features three exhibitions against NCAA Division I opponents, eight games against teams that competed in last season's NAIA National Tournament and six first-time opponents.

"I'm excited to release our schedule for this year," Wingreen said. "This will be one of the most challenging schedules we've ever had, and I'm looking forward to seeing our guys step up to the challenge this year."

NCF will open the season at 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 against Wayland Baptist at Bradenton Christian School. The Pioneers were among the teams selected for the 2026 NAIA Men's Basketball National Tournament.

The Mighty Banyans will remain home for an Oct. 29 matchup against Baptist University of Florida, giving NCF consecutive home games to begin the season.

New College will play eight games against five teams that competed in last season's NAIA National Tournament, facing Wayland Baptist, Grace, Keiser, Ave Maria and Southeastern.

The schedule also includes three exhibitions against NCAA Division I opponents. NCF will travel to face FIU, FGCU and Stetson during the season.

The Mighty Banyans will begin Sun Conference play Nov. 20 at Keiser. The complete schedule includes 16 home games, 12 true road games and two neutral-site contests.

NCF will meet six programs for the first time during the 2026-27 season, with Wayland Baptist, Florida Polytechnic, Concordia Nebraska, Mobile, St. Francis and Grace appearing on the schedule.

"We've worked hard to put together a schedule that will challenge our guys and prepare us for the level we want to reach," Wingreen said. "Our goal is to schedule the best way we can to give ourselves the best opportunity to make the NAIA National Tournament."

The New College varsity reserve team will play 19 games from Nov. 3 through Feb. 17, including 12 home contests. Varsity assistant coach Scott Townsend returns for his third season as head coach of the varsity reserve program in addition to his duties with the varsity team.
